The cottage is lovely-a welcome sight! This is our first time here.Just driving in the heavily wooded gravel road at night brought back good memories for my husband of going to visit his grandfather in Missouri. The songs of the bullfrogs welcomed us in peace.

From the time we came down the lane we were so happy with the beautiful trees, the quiet settings of each of the cabins and the expansive landscape. The cabins are so pretty and fully stocked. The kids loved their beds and were pleasantly surprised to see the little night light in their room(especially since we forgot to bring one.)We will definitely be back.It was also very nice to meet Teresa.

What a shame we only get to spend one night in this beautiful place. We arrived about 5:30 pm-still light enough to enjoy a lovely swim in the pool. After purchasing some weiners and a good bottle of Two Oceans Red Wine we built a bonfire-roasted weiners and thanks to Ruth's delicious homemade bread enjoyed hotdogs.Loved what we managed to see and would defintely come back with hopes of spending at least 3 days or a week.Thankyou Ruth & Fred.

Susan and I are sitting here on the swing chair, the sun is bright and fresh, sparrows are busy at the feeder and the chipmunks are chasing each other up the birches.Once and awhile a woodpecker comes by looking for a meal. There is a slight breeze causing the leaves to dance and already the crickets are singing their summer heat song.I am thinking does it get any better than this! There is no traffic sounds, not even the plane flying over.Wonderful.The cabin was large, clean and fresh with everything we needed-very large lots!We were sorry we didn't get to the pool or the canoe. We did, though, get to enjoy the sights and delights of both the Lighthouse and Evangeline trails-The scenery-fantastic.
